How to reach the conference location ?

  • by train or plane . Direct trains are available from all Brussels train stations. You can also take a train to Ottignies and then to Louvain-la-Neuve (this is quicker). Please do not counfound Louvain (Leuven) and Louvain-la-Neuve - Université. Follow the Agrostat'08 arrows from the station to the auditorium.
  • by car (follow the Agrostat'08 arrows from the National 4 to the "Grand-Place Parking)
  • Parking : the "grand-place" parking is the closest to the conference. Parking tiquets (4€/one day) will be available at the conference desk. Follow the Agrostat'08 arrows from the parking exit to the auditorium. general map of the Louvain-la-Neuve parkings

    Accomodation

    The organizers have negociated reduced rates in two hotels on the Louvain-la-Neuve site. Exact prices will be communicated shortly.
    Room allocations will be on the first-booked first-served basis.


    Hôtel Mercure*** : calm, green environment, at the hedge of the Lauzelle wood, at a 10-15 minutes walking distance frop the conference place and from the rail station.

    To get there the first day, you can either take a taxi from the Ottignies rail station or walk from the railway station of Louvain-la-Neuve following "Promenade de la nuit de Mai" (Map to reach the hotel form the Louvain-la-Neuve station)

    Double room (twinbeds): 88 Euros breakfast included

    Novotel de Wavre *** Hotel situated at 8 km from Louvain-la-Neuve.

    The hotel is at 200m of the (small) Bierges rail station or can be (more) easily reached from the ottignies rail station by taxi (5-10'). There is no direct public transport from the hotel to Louvain-la-Neuve but a shuttle will be organised if asked by conference participants.
